Hmmm its kinda far. I will have to see what I can find locally. Should I just bring a valve to the machine shop its at? I found the right one on sdparts.com for 17 bucks

That sucks you had to cut off your pipes. I have a blazer tank and I ran mine right outside of the frame rails.

You just need to get creative with some bent pipe! I'd get it all welded back up before I put fuel in the tank

Sorry you had to hack 'em....I got lucky and mine fit fine with the blazer tank. Course I had the spare in there at that time so he had to go around it.

The pipe will get hacked further back, before the rearend. I want to reuse as much as the pipe that I have and run it out in front of the tires, but I might just end up trading it to the exhaust shop for a 3 inch x pipe/side exit system. Plus the 3 inch will help my new motor breathe more

Im trying to figure out what intake bolts to use with my GMPP carb intake, and if the L92 heads require a different set of bolts than the 317 heads. I am trying to place an order from sdparts and want to get it all in under one shipping charge. And then I need to find a balancer puller big enough to fit the balancer on this engine. I borrowed one from my schools auto shop but it was too small. I need to find a GM puller or I heard a Chrysler puller works too. Anyone know about the bolts?

Have you tried renting a puller from a parts store?

And see what Harbor freight has in the way of pullers.

I called Napa and they don't rent anything, I might have to try a bigger store. I like the idea of checking out Harbor Freight, good idea Texan. I need some more C clamps anyways.....

As far as your bolts, you didn't save any from the motor earlier? Or your saying that the bolts you have don't fit the heads?

The bolts aren't reusable for the heads, they are only good for one torquing, you have to get new ones. I want to know if the L92 heads require a special bolt, different than the 317 or iron heads. And I don't know if I can reuse the stock truck intake bolts for the carb intake

I am pretty sure they are different bolts for the heads.

As for the intake, I ended up using some metric allen head bolts. No, the stock ones didn't fit with my Vic Jr. I am not sure about the GMPP intake, but I would assume you are in the same boat.

Ok I need help with my fuel cell. Can anyone share their experiences and/or some instructions on how this thing goes in? Do I really have to take off the bed?

So where do I find the bolts? At a dealership parts counter? I have been trying to use Scoggin-Dickey because they are priced fairly, but I don't know of they have the right thing.

I just went to the local Fastenal dealer, and bought them. I don't know what length you need ( I think mine were 50mm).
