Re: DLoE's Dropmembered 65 StepSiDe Build
I was just gonna ask how the I6 sounded with maybe some flowmasters or some type of aggressive muffler... Decent power/torque?

Re: DLoE's Dropmembered 65 StepSiDe Build
well had the engine tuned and Dyno'd. . 137.04 HP and 193.19 Max Torque think I should have went with the 600 Holley instead of the 390. guys at the shop said to run it for awhile and see how I like it.

Re: DLoE's Dropmembered 65 StepSiDe Build
Is this with a lumped head, with the ports polished? Numbers seem a bit low if it is. I have also heard the 390 is a pig on these 6's. Although for some reason a lot of the builders recommend them.

a lump port head? You would think that cliffords cam would work well do to the high lift! Do you have any cam reccomendations when using the lump port head? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

alot more torque and hores power than that! Some say that the clifford cam is not very good quality. I went and looked at a clifford cam in person and they seemed to be good quality, but I know that a 292 should have alot more power than that. Especially since the clifford cam is high lift. And a holley 390 is a good carb for that. If you think about getting a new carb I would get an edelbrock 600 cfm double pump carb 4 barrel, thay are better quality by far than the holley. If your cam is flat you could get a delta cam they are great for racing and good quality. |
