Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
YOu know I been workin on old cars/trucks since I was 19 and my first vehicle was a 64 chevy shortfleet and miss that truck. I am 28 now and if it wasnt for my dad I would be lost. Now I am older and tired of playing games on the streets I am takin it serious whether it is my truck or life in general. Keep working at that electrical. You will get it down. Sometimes just taking a step back and takin a break helps. Just dont take to long of a break cause then ya get lazy haha :P GLAD I could make you laugh!

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
Sorry you are having wiring issues. My advice is to buy a Volt/Ohm meter and start testing resistances on grounds and a test light to check for power on every wire involved, there is a sneak wire somewhere that is bitting you in the ass, but if you go wire by wire you will find it. Its not like the wiring is complicated on that thing it wont take long to run it down. Another thought and this is the part im not an expert on BUT im wondering if different years had different pinouts on the wiring for the front/rear brake light/turn signal harness and maybe you are mixing harnesses causing problems for yourself not even realizing it, like for instance if you are running 67-68 main harness and a 69-72 brake light/turn signal harness or vice versa, its worth checking into anyway imo. Also make sure you have all the ground straps you are supposed to have on the truck. Last edited by Xeen; 09-01-2012 at 09:35 PM. |

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
Is the one parklight your only problem? If you are using original light sockets you may have power and ground to the socket but no contact between the bulb and socket. Check that out.

Now that you have clean connections dont forget to put some "clear" dialectric grease in each socket so water cant get in and short them out. |

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
how is everyone mounting the clock in there tins? by that i mean the 2 tabs with mounting holes. how do you guys screw the clock to out tin? do you screw it to the black and green inner tin? or do you put sleeves inbetween the clock and the outer in inside and put a longer screw through? also does anyone know what size hole to drill in the lens? and my last question is: what do you guys do to take the letters off the lens without hurting the lens?
