Re: Blazer SPID thread?
I do recall that one! Highlander 2wd in blue. Too bad not salvageable.

Re: Blazer SPID thread?
There are slight variations in VIN arrangements between 67-72. Some use C to denote Chevrolet (apart from GMC). See more details here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=570059

The VIN on the frame is right under the alternator.

Re: Blazer SPID thread?
Not just 72.
For some reason, I have the SPID for a 69 Blazer. Mine is a 72. Anybody have CKR189Z161081 and need this SPID?

Re: Blazer SPID thread?
Oops. Faux spid with the wrong font. Someone's tampered with the VIN plate too.

Re: Blazer SPID thread?
I wonder if they're forged or cast? I'm thinking cast that's why they're backwards. They're not on the spid?

Re: Blazer SPID thread?
Looks like an early sequence number too. Wonder what the assembly month is and if it has a speaker grille atop the dash. Maybe it retains that elusive and troublesome stainless steel rear view mirror that seems to fall off only to be replaced by a black example
