I love it. As for the question you asked. I think you should keep the body color on the outside and if you paint the inside make sure the paint matches the leather you choose. It looks amazing great job

I am trying to make it right. I am changing the name of my build to "The Money Pit"!

I told you guys we were using some of the polish stainless steel mesh. I any of you are looking for some McMasterCarr is a great place to buy it. There are lots of options. I like the way the mesh finished off the subwoofer detail in the center console.

The silver on the bed looks awesome, and I love the way that chassis looks especially with that big block between the frame rails. Where did you get the valve covers at?

I cant wait to see the 2 tone cab tomorrow. I just came up with a blank on the valve covers. I will look through my receipts and see if I can find the one for the valve covers. Too many parts, not enough brain cells to keep it straight!

Re: 69 slammed, 22"/24" bbc shaved clean

Here are a few more paint booth pictures. If you look real close you can see the two tone.......almost a ghost two tone. If you look on the door jam you will see it gets a little darker right at the upper body line. You may notice it on top of the hood as well. I am thinking about a darker charcoal strip in between the 2 colors. We will have all of the pieces back tomorrow and I will get some more pics.

Finally the cab is on the chassis and we are rolling on this baby. I have ended up changing a few things around.....battery placement, air ride pumps, and other stuff I originally thought was a good idea. I am really happy with the paint and very excited to get to see it done.

Re: 69 slammed, 22"/24" bbc shaved clean

thank you guys. right now we are working on wiring and such. My mechanical is super OCD when it comes to wiring so I will probably have 80 hours in wiring this truck. It is going to be super right and super perfect.

I am out here at SEMA and rounded the corner at the Marquez Design booth and there was Tootsie. I got a chance to not only meet the guys at Marquez but most importantly to shake hands with Eric. He is a really super cool guy and it was great to meet him in person.

Re: 69 slammed, 22"/24" bbc shaved clean

Hey fellas checking in. We are really getting close on this project. We have spent about 3 weeks on the wiring. I can almost claim this is the neatest wiring job you will ever see. No crimp connections.........everthing is soldered, heat shrinked, and then encased in vinyl split loom. I will get some picks under the dash......it is so clean.....no wiring clutter. I am not sure who wants to pay for this level of wiring but I just didnt want to skimp. The detail of this truck is finally showing its face and I dont think we have missed a lick.

I had an aluminum dash bezel with autometer gauges but decided against using them. I ordered a nice Dakota Digital VHX pieced and will stick with the stock dash bezel. The lighted buttons you see on the dash operate the door solenoids. P.S. would you check out the firewall please..........the essence of clean.

They just released a close out panel for the front of the truck that was a huge hit at the show. Not trying to hijack the thread but if you guys want pictures please let me know. They also are releasing a very cool front bumper that will be paintable and really changes the look of the truck. All the interior panels that are in my truck you can buy. Hope that helps. Door panels, headliner, a pillars, kick panels and dash top
