Hey all;
The Camaro radiator and electric fan came in today.
I test fitted the assembly and it fit fine, it looks like I don't have to move my engine.
Even though the radiator is the right height for the stock mounting brackets to work they are in the wrong place so I will have to fabricate my own brackets.
Onward and forward.

Hey Brian,
Just spent the last hour reading your build, looks great. Your gonna love that ls, 17 mpg, overdrive transmission, no cold starts and plently of power. My only problem is keeping the my foot out of it. I've already been selling all my old small block parts, I've got my truck tore back apart for new body and paint seems like its taking forever.

Did your do your own harness or purchase?

I purchased a Standalone Wiring Harness from
(PSI) Performance Systems Intergration.

I think I will put a link in, I tried to start a build thread on lsx swap side but no one put it up on the site.
Ive heard good things about the psi harnesses, I did my own using info from members here. It took a lot of time and cussing but I did learn a lot about the engine,transmission, sensors,etc.
I also used the fbody radiator and fans, they work and fit great.

Hey, Brian I bought the stock column you sent me the link for. So it want be to long that I can see a big change with the old girl. A few more parts came in today. A new HEI distributor, a new 3'' chrome air cleaner, a new set of 350 emblins for the fenders and a power steering pump. It leaked in transit so I have to clean it up.

You should have said something about the hose. I would have gave you one. But now you can get the beast running.

Hey all;
Today I went and purchased some 5/16 to 3/8 adapters for the radiator and some 3/8" compression fittings so I can rerout the transmission cooler lines.
Whenever it stops raining I can get the cooler lines installed.

I agree! I have the same problem with the right foot. Does not help that I switch gears and step on the gas and she pulls and pulls.

Today I bent and installed the Transmission cooler lines, I might have made the lower line 1" too short so I may have to redo that one.

Hey you need to spend some time on that rear end housing. It makes your work look undone. A wire wheel and some primer and paint. And a lot of elbo grease.

Yep I need some cool weather where I can sit outside for a few hours without losing 10 pounds in sweat.
Luckily it's not greasy it just needs the old paint stripped off and repainted.

Hey all;
I have been wrestling with the idea of moving my engine back 2" towards the firewall for some time now.
Recently CPP released a new redesigned sheetmetal engine perch that is more like the original factory perches and give a lot more clearance for exhaust manifolds and headers.
After learning about the new perches I decided to go with them instead of the tubular perches and move my engine back at the same time that I change them out.

For all you guys who are curious here is a stock CPP photo of the new sheetmetal perches with Hooker GM clone manifolds.
