my forearm still hurts so I decided to lay low today and try out my new toy the TS8000T hybrid solar powered forced induction vegan overdrive new propane torch

... and it's AWESOME !

Channeling my Martha Stewart I decided that the black grill seen in post #194 is too bold I prefer it to be more understated ... and so graphite is the new black!

don't mind the beat up bits, I have two grills and some of these parts in the pic were my practice panels

started on the driver side exhaust by persuading the fuel tank lip our of the way

... and you thought adjustable spanners were only for toilet repair

took similar liberties with the passenger side, this side will have fuel tank goose neck run directly over it, so further precautions will be taken

tacked the rear hanger

slipped the mufflerator back on all juxtapose

and hunged the tailpipe over the axle

leaving us with simply having to connect Point A and B

since I am currently in between pneumatic mandrel pipe benders I ventured out to the Shed of Stuff where I nearly sprained my ankle on one of these

did I just compare myself to Michelangelo? of course not, that looser could not drive, let alone weld!!! and that's a fact

I also manager to install the three bed sills and used an old Swahili trick to drill the holes in the angle iron bed side rails, you basically take one sill and flip it upside down directly over the one you want to drill holes for

but wait there's more, in order to keep my plastic bed boards from becoming Shish Kabobs I even saddled up some heat shields at the highest points over the axle, cause that's how we do at Up In Smoke Muffler Works

You are making good progress.

I can't see clearly from your pics, but it looks like the rear brake flex line is close to the driver's side tail pipe.......... please make sure there is good clearance.

and now we turn to our field corresponded The One Armed Bandit

... the day began with me removing the old heater core hosers, or as the cool kids say, Heater Hose Delete!

now this month we made a pretty short and concise list of just over half a dozen things we must do and Busty will be jumping undulations on the residential stratas in no time

... so what do I do... krap that's not on the list!

now before doing this rust repair on the account of safety and such, I carefully removed the old [ahem] ... original firewall insulation

once again since I don't trust my measuring capabilities, I prefer to make a template which will tell me later where to drill that bottom hole in our new patch panel

now please keep in mind i am not going around fixing all the rusted section as part of some grand beautification plan, no, far from it, I am only strengthening any parts that are rusted that something else would mount to, like the inner fender in this case

I thought the gray primer on the outside and red on the inside was a nice touch

more of that expensive SEM undecoating came in so I two coated the fraternal inner twin fenders

after two medium coats on each of the inner fenders I sprayed what was left over on the passenger fender

I'm learning this stuff could work if you sprayed an entire can on each piece, (pronounced $25 dollars per piece - aka expensive!)

I've been half donkeying this entire build and I wasn't about to start whole donkeying it now
