Re: My Facetruck thread.
I sold my 1985 Mercedes 500 SEL. I never drove it, and didn't need it.
A friend of mine bought it new in Reno, NV, and I had owned it several years. It is as close to new as you will find.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
After stopping for drinks at an illegal bar, a Zimbabwean bus driver found that the 20 mental patients he was supposed to be transporting from Harare to Bulawayo had escaped. Not wanting to admit his incompetence, the driver went to a nearby bus stop and offered everyone waiting there a free ride. He then delivered the passengers to the mental hospital, telling the staff* that the patients were very excitable and prone to bizarre fantasies.

In post #483 I couldn't figure what the "illegal" part of the bar had to do with the story line, but I forgot to take it out.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Some of you may remember, in the vintage picture thread, I posted a picture of a green and white, 72 K10, SWB that I sold a friend of mine 30 years ago, and he still complains I skinned him.
Well, last week I ran into him at the hardware store. He looked at me for a long second, and said "you need to buy my yellow Blazer". I responded with, I don't want a Blazer, I don't need a Blazer, I'm really not that in to Blazers............, then he said I'll take $x,xxx.xx, and I said "but for an old friend like you, I'll take it off your hands". This Blazer has been right here all it's life. The guy that had it passed and his son got it, but had no interest. My friend bought it from him drove it to his pasture, and parked it.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
I will too , I will get him drunk first though . I went to look at a Blazer for sale last week , I wanted it badly until I actually saw it .The for sale pics were when he bought it many years before he parked it under a tree with no top .

I met the guy at a shopping center. And when I saw it pull in, I thought no way. The guy was a real hot head too. Very hostile. He kept trying to tell me how nice the car was. and became even more irritated when I pointed out the cars many problems. (everything) I told my girlfriend to go back and wait in the truck. Because this guy looked like he was going to lose his lunch. When she was back in the truck. I told him that the car was a pile of sh*t and there was no way I would buy it. And he did just what I thought. He went nuts and called me every name in the book. I was waiting for him to take a swing at me. He was nuts. But he didn't he just got back in his crappy car screaming and yelling that I had wasted his time.Flipping me off. I drove over an hour to see that car. He drove 5 minutes. Who wasted who's time? The pictures and he,himself completely misrepresented the car. When I got back in my truck, my girlfriend asked me. "What in the hell is wrong with that guy? I just told her that he must have flunked out of charm school.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
I was going to buy a Malibu a few years ago ,a 1980 model unmolested original one .I had the guy send me extra pics and he promised me it had Zero rust anywhere .He met me in Chattannoga ,about half way for both of us .I had cash in my pocket to buy it .I inspected it very closely as there is no aftermarket support for these cars .I found a rust spot under the rear windshield trim covered with silicone .I told him that he said it was 100 % rust free when it was not .He told me that little spot would be an easy fix .I said yes it may be but Im afraid of what I may find deeper down and told him the deal was off .He wanted me to pay his gas for coming that far and I said no that he misrepresented his car and left .He called me every name he could think of .
