The wife drove it to Lynchburg to the whiskey runners cruise in today for it's first cruise. She was leadin a 5 old car/truck cruise up the highway and didn't even know it. She was tickled to just drive it.

gas gauge stopped working last nite checked and fixed wire on sending unit but still no worky, shook the truck and heard something moving around (metal). Looked in with a flashlight in the sender hole and seen the float just bobbing around on top I'm going to take the unit out after church this afternoon to see whats up.

took the sending unit out float arm missing had to fish out the arm and float ugh. It's junk so i'm just going to buy a new one and forget it! I installed the steering wheel alittle crooked so i fixed that too. Made a metal vac. line for the vac. advance.

Took my old OCHRE tailgate and put it on the 67 for the time being its got a pretty good bow in it but no rust holes (that i know of) the po gave my an new aftermarket one with the truck i'll use later probably.
