Re: 1964 gmc 1000

The truck runs like a champ happy with how everything turned out finely back to the hood!

Got a new hood hinge on the truck and the hood is not latched because the new heater box intake needs a bit of a trimming, redoing the vents on the hood a little to removing the blinkers from there location and adding some stuff to go along with the air box.

More pictures soon will be working on it all weekend.

Those picture with the hood on look good. Could you put a picture of the hood before work and after being worked or as of now.

Re: 1964 gmc 1000

drove the truck some today and the intake really seems to be helping the most in 4th gear the 40-70 mile an hour range has really picked up in response when you step on the peddle.

So the electric fan took a crap didn't do much any how when sitting for more then 10 min. had to raise the radiator up some and run the fan straight to the pully.

Re: 1964 gmc 1000

Took the freeway home from work the fan defiantly puts a drag on the motor in the 0-50 mph range but i noticed today at top speeds the motor favors having the fan seems more stable and a bit quieter.

It has also dropped the rpm's to 500 from 650 need to work on that!
