I know the owner of that truck and also know the builder. He was offered 65k and did not take it, he wants 100K for it....

His truck is 100% perfect there are zero flaws on it..Mine was painted ten years ago and it shows. His truck is at another level for sure. However it is not a cruiser like mine it is a "SHOW Truck" so after seeing both of the trucks at depth I would say that we are not in the same class in any way shape or form. Hell someone offers me 65k for my truck I will deliver it personally and leave it with a full tank of gas.. ![]()

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
I do not look at a 65k, 100k vehicle the same way as i look at someones vehicle that they spent some time on. Anyone with $$ can have one sick vehicle but someone that spends their own time on it IMO has the more respectable one. Even just a little work on it. You can spend 100k and not know crap about these trucks.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
I agree with Travis. Your truck is every bit as cool/nice. Plus the enjoyment of working and driving them. You can't put a price on that.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
Al, truck looks great! I know you paid someone not too long ago to apply the chevrolet decals on your tailgate, but imo installing a tailgate molding as the one that truck on ebay has would definetely make your truck's rear look a lot better, check it out....

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
Juanito, I never thought about adding that molding in fact I did not even think I could use it but thats a thought I will have to look into it. My friend installed the letters for free and the letters cost me 7.00 so not a big lost if I take them off.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
You don't even need to take them off. Just cover them up. I prefer the tailgate moulding too.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
There are 12 screws.
http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cb/full.aspx?Page=41 There's a link to the molding from lmc and it shows you basically how it attaches. I'd tape it in place and then drill the holes. |

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
There is also another piece that goes at the bottom of the tailgate if you don't use the larger molding. I see you have the top piece on the tailgate already.
