Had those Eagle 212's in 18" on my truck for a long time...I know how much effort you put into polishing those bad boys. I don't miss them

Re: Rusbuilt's 68 C-10
So its been 5 weeks today since Chuck (thelonerife) and I dropped off my C-10 to have the 700r4 put in. About two and a half weeks ago I was told it was ready to go, went down to pick it up (about a 35 min trip one way) and something just wasn't right. Now a week ago today I was told it was going to be ready the following day (Sat. 9/30). I haven't heard from the guy since that day. I've made that trip almost everyday since then and called like 30-40 times a day. The guys phone goes straight to voicemail and the voicemail box is full and I haven't been able to catch anyone at the shop. So today I got lucky and ran into the land lord of the property and he told me that he is evicting the guy and he thinks he's on drugs!! My truck is locked inside the shop and I can't get it out until I either hear from the land lord or the guy I hired to do the work. This sucks!! I'm pretty much losing $800 and I have no idea what the condition of my truck is right now. I'm really pissed!

Re: Rusbuilt's 68 C-10
What the heck, that is a terrible situation, Im sorry that happened to you.
Wont the landlord let you in to get your truck and transmission? Another avenue is you can find out where the guy lives and hangs out and you and a bunch of your buddies can track him down and "convince" him to take you to the shop right that second and let you get your Truck and Transmission. If that doesnt work you can have the Sheriff go with you, all you should need is proof you own it. Last edited by Xeen; 10-05-2012 at 08:59 PM. |

Thanks Jason, I should know in a few days when I will be able to pick it up. I've filed all the proper paper work with the court system now all I can do is wait!

Re: Rusbuilt's 68 C-10
All I'm gonna say is I am glad he isn't in business for himself anymore so he can't do that to someone else! No money back but the other shop took good care of me and the truck drives amazing! Drove it home on the interstate 75-80mph for about 25 miles no issues and man it was just cruising! I love it!!
