Re: My 63 farm truck build thread
I don't think Western Union will deal in Monopoly money. I guess we could give it a shot, though.

Ok, I don't miss it as much now. Guess I'll just have to remember it the way it was. Before they messed it up.

Re: My 63 farm truck build thread
That is freakin cool!!! Those are the rims i will be adding to my truck too. How much did you lower the front end? I saw that you added a Suburban front clip sweet idea. Great stance, man just a great job all the way around. Good find on Pop's old mag!!

Re: My 63 farm truck build thread
just seems like it would make more sense if they painted/primed the entire truck one color or maybe re-paint the roof white if they want that kind of money....

Re: My 63 farm truck build thread
Why spend more if you can flip it for your asking price as is for the same investment? The price might be wishful thinking but there's possibly that one person wanting this type of truck & willing to pay. You never know until you try....

Re: My 63 farm truck build thread
I definitely understand maximizing profit....Hope the seller gets what he's looking for, ..... but I seriously doubt it. My point was it's a much better chance to sell at the asking price if it's all one color now that the original patina effect isn't complete any more....

Re: My 63 farm truck build thread
SCOTI,
Maybe it's me, but you seem really defensive about it.... IMO, it was perfect when Kevin had it. I'm sad about the way it looks now, but it isn't my truck so I have no real investment in it.....and I'll get over it Posted via Mobile Device

If I were flipping a vehicle for profit, I'd keep the investment to a minimum & maximize my profit; pure & simple plan. I also liked it just the way it was. But, once the logo was removed & primer was applied, adding a little more didn't exactly ruin the truck (the point I'm making).

Re: My 63 farm truck build thread
I build a damn good truck, but I don't think he'll get the asking price for it. Good trucks don't often bring the money, pretty trucks do.
Believe me, as good a truck as it was/ is, having it as my only vehicle to drive wasn't much fun after awhile. My daughters, 5 and 7 years old, like Truck Norris much better. That air conditioner, radio, power windows and locks all make it so much nicer. When I pick them up from school in the afternoons, it's a 30 mile trip to deliver them out to their mother's ranch so I need the amenities and the seat belts !
