I could make it out of one piece pretty easy on a CNC at work.

I sent them out to get chrome plated after i get them i will start to hang the front clip and align the doors fenders and hood, hopefully it all goes well and i dont need to do further work. Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
They look great but make sure you coat the snot out of the threads with anti-seize compound. Stainless will bind up really easy and you can easily break the bolts trying to get them loose to make adjustments to the hinges and striker.

I can't tell you how many stainless bolts I have had to remove because of galling threads. Anti-seize helps for sure. |

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
Are you going to shave the locks & handles? Not usually a fan of this but your truck is so smooth it just looks out of place to have them.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
finally finished the body work on the tail gate, this was really time consuming with all the curves and humps. It was a challenge to find a tail gate with the long extended chevrolet letters in good shape, with some luck I did find a second tail gate frome some other truck wich it to needed alot of work. The tail gate that came with this truck was trash it was warped and dinggd beyond what a hammer and filler could do.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
Now i have ran into some techincal difficulties. Aligning the panes I want to get them as eaven as possible wich can be more difficult than u realize. The task of panel alignment is a long and tedius one. the side view and size of the gaps is fairly eaven.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
I like the smoothed inside of the fenders, are you going to do the same with the underside of the hood?
Looking good! My son is leaning to that color too. His will be another few years before we think about paint...

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
Yesterday I applied som silver POR 15 on any exposed cavitys such like the tail lights and the inner fire wall, and top and botttom of dash. When I find the time I will cover the entire bottom of the cab and bed.
