Now we are getting close to Real time ...

A couple of weeks ago, I got back on it.

My powder coater needed his Rotisserie back, so that kinda put a hurt on the process.

If I can say one thing good came out of my divorce, is the fact that my kids hang with momma every other week. So the weeks that I am "off", I can work late after hours to get more stuff done (Just for record, I rather have my kids 100% of the time, but unfortunately, it is what it is)

Some cold nights meant bring it inside ....

The Rotisserie came back about two weeks ago, so I began remounting the body to it.

This time I use spacers (old lugnuts) and longer bolts to allow the sand and then the powder to get behind the mounting points ....

But before I could mount it up, I needed to remove the rear beat up gate crossmember ... and rebrace to its location

Well ... My blaster all of sudden got a busy load to do, so it gave me a few days to finish up as much metal repair before powder.

The dash was custom modified back in the day with a hacksaw and hammer, so decided to repair that now....as well as some holes.

Looks like they didn't have drill bits passed 5/8", so looks like they use a punch to "get r done"...

I decided to cut this entire section out. Being the Burbmaster is not 100% OG, this will give me a clean slate for a nice headunit, Vin Air controls, etc.

I had my girl working on the floor from Burb1. She was busy drilling out all the spots.

This floor needs repair near the rockers, but still in better shape than the OG one in Burb2.

Burb2 had a rubber floormat installed since new, which kept the moisture on the floor....leading to rot.

wow! taking it down to the bones!
is that rear tail panel just bolted in? is it welded anywhere?

both of my subs need a little rust repair in that area, and if it just unbolts... that would make for some easy repair...

YOU ARE SO LUCKY YOU ASKED ME THAT !!

It does !!

But I found out the hard way !!

I had my buddy Joe start to drill out spots on the rear tail panel of Burb 1.

After about half way through, we realized ... IT JUST UNFOLDED !!

Ugh !!!!
