Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66

Here my 64, truck actually sits lower now, another 1-2 inch in front and 2 in rear.
Total drop in this picture is 3 front and 4 rear.

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66

Well, I just traded for the truck so I'm still checking stuff out but it does have cpp discs in front with coils that look new and 225/70/15. The back is leaf with air shocks on a 9" and Mt Indy n-50s. Nothing fancy but she sits good.
P.s. thanks for having me.

This is my longbox 66. I'm not big on bags, I like to see them lowered but not touching the ground, in my humble opinion Some rake is important too.

Coming from somebody that doesn't typically gravitate toward long bed trucks, that's a great looking truck! Love the stance as well.

While I personally don't feel the need for a ground scraper myself, I will say that bags can be utilized to achieve a killer rake as well. Perfect example would be Dino's blue '66: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=556602

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66

Thanks fellas. The wheels are Appliance tru-spoke fine wires, 15x10 in the back and 15x8 in the front. I've had them for years and they were pretty rusty so I had them repaired and respoked. Appliance has been out of business for years. I can't find a new wheel that is the same. Tires are 295's x50's in the back and 245'sx50's in the front, but I think I will go to a 60 series tire in the front. The front is dropped 4 1/2 inches - 2 1/2inch drop spindles and 2 inch drop springs. The back is dropped 4 inches with 4" drop springs.

rustbucket66 - sharp looking truck!!! What the specs on your drop and tire sizes? That's about how I want my 66 longbed to sit.

The rear had cpp 4in drop springs with 2in drop blocks. So 6in drop in the rear. The front had cpp 3in drop srings with a 1/2 a round cut off. Probably around 4.5 in the frt. Tires were I think G78s. It rode pretty nice for staic. Bump stops trimmed.
