Yes, I welded all of the gaps. It took a while, but I think it will be well worth it.

Thanks David. That would be nice to see it in print, well see. I'm a little over an hour from Dalton I think. I'm about 15 minutes south of Jasper.

This is what me and sdailey got done tonight. We sprayed the inside of the cab back panel with the sprayable seam sealer. It actually turned out great.
It took 2 tubes and that was barely enough. I wish I had one more to get it a little thicker. It looks thick but if you look on the paper you can get an idea of how much is actually on it.

Taped up

Finished texture

Re: My 1965 build thread

I am just curious, why did you use a sprayable seam sealer on the entire back wall fo the cab? Is it for sound deading properties or ??

Looking good, I just wish I had half your skills....

Anyway, you are making me wish my shop was done (its not even started yet) so that I could work on my '65...

I did it mainly to cover the back side of my welds on the cab corners since I was too lazy to dress them down. It is also a good sound deadener and looks alot better than dyamat. Thanks for the compliment.

Thanks Tony

I struck a pretty good deal I think on this aluminum radiator that a friend of mine took out of his 72 Chevelle. Now I have to figure out how to mount it. Hey Shannon you got an old 67-72 core support and top radiator hold downs still?

Why yes I do. I even have an OE radiator if the aluminum one doesn't work out.

I have my original one that you can scrap if needed. I also have the one that came off the '72 that you/we got from Chris, but I'll probably keep that one for myself.

I've got some bungee cords laying around here, but you'd have to pay shipping.

...nice work on the cab.

Thanks man, I'll keep you in mind if my plan fails. Do those bungee cords come with a roll of duct tape?

Re: My 1965 build thread

Alan, I had an idea for my gas tank supports. And since it seems you want to put a speaker back there I thought I would share with you. I plan on making a speaker box in roughly the same shape as the gas tank. I figured it was long enough to put maybe a 8" or 10" speaker in the middle and mount the amp on the box to the right of the straps and a capacitor on the left. I also planned on using the gas tank straps to hold it in place. I want to use the old velvet and resin trick to smooth it out nice so it can be painted to match the interior. Haven't done it yet, but that is the plan anyways.
