Thanks Kevin
I ordered them from LMC, and yes they fit nice, had to oval the front upper holes for the bed front bolts and grind a little clearance for the radius of the top of the bed front to fit the sides better but other than that Im happy. They will need a little glaze here and there from tool marks and blocked out though.

Kind of having a hard time getting the gaps right on the gate, its like its a little bit twisted or something. Also had to do some grinding around where the strikers are to keep the tabs from snagging and hanging up when its closed.

Re: Blood Sweat and Tears.. 67 Build Thread

Finally broke down and bought the hydraulic flaring tool to get the stainless brake lines done... wasn't cheap but works like a charm... I think Ill do the fuel line with it too... anyone know what kind of flare it takes to do hard lines?

Re: Blood Sweat and Tears.. 67 Build Thread

Brake lines are all plumbed in on all 4 corners finally... Started thinking about how I wanna run the fuel line and got a chance to get the floor stained, but I'm confused on how I got so many different results from each board when I did each one exactly the same... Anyway Ill be sanding the faces back down so that only the grain remains black anyway and then stain with a more natural color or just clear coat ... not sure yet.

Truck is looking great! The hood is bad a#@. I see that you picked the truck up from Auburn. Got me thinking if this isn't my old truck that I had back in 1998. I live right outside of Auburn. I traded off a 67 c10 short step with a fleet side bed I never got around to putting on to a guy in Auburn.

He is a black guy that works for the road department down there. Was a really cool dude but his body guy really loved that bondo lol
Would be pretty crazy if it was actually yours. The bed was the only thing actually rust free... well the sides anyway. Thanks still a ways to go

Yes it would be cool if it were my old truck.
Would be hard to say unless you have the vin number still... When I bought it it had a new dark green paint job over a lot of bondo...

I dont even remember, If I was home I would go look. I just measured the low and high and went and grabbed them at the Autozone. Its been a year since I did that part. No idea how its gonna ride but its gotta be better than it was when I got it with fully collapsed springs lol

Re: Blood Sweat and Tears.. 67 Build Thread

Been a while since I updated this...

Finally got a set of headers that actually fit and got the bed wood done. Started getting the rear roll pan welded up today... should get that done tomorrow and I hope to get the EDP coating roughed up so I can get some high build on it and start blocking that out.

Was also trying to figure out how to run the SS fuel line.. one piece is gonna be a pain, so I was thinking that if I decide to go with an electric pump it would maybe be better if I split it in the middle somewhere.

Brake line are also finally all plumbed. Gotta get lines made up for the Hydraboost setup still.

Re: Blood Sweat and Tears.. 67 Build Thread

Hit a pretty big snag with at the rear of the bed today... What I originally thought was a twisted tailgate was actually an issue with the rear corner of the bed where all 3 pieces come together and are welded up...
After welding the roll pan on I discovered just how bad the bedside was assembled... Im not sure what to do here...
It has the tail light hole all twisted as well causing the tail lights to not set in flush all the way around.

Re: Blood Sweat and Tears.. 67 Build Thread

While I was working out the roll pan issue I decided to recess the tail lights and trim to make it all mount flush Had to open the hole up a good bit and nix the piece that separated the tail light from the reverse light... got a good start on the driver side before quitting time...
