Re: Slick Copper's Build Thread
Spray in foam would be the best but it is a little more pricey, If your looking for not to expensive, I would consider 2" high density Styrofoam and then put up plywood/OSB over it and use self tappers to put them into the metal support beams.

Re: Slick Copper's Build Thread
Thanks guys! The wife disagrees BTW. She says the shop is the bonus! And she did get an awesome truck. When I pulled the inner fenders to repaint they were solid as a rock! Original!
Where can I get that foam at Adam? The blow in insulation probably would be better, but would hurt my budget too much. Cheapest way I can will probably be the way I go.

Re: Slick Copper's Build Thread
Not much of an update. Been busy, organizing, getting things put up, and rolling my new riding mower over on my back. Nothing broken, thank God, but in a lot of pain right now.

Rest and gentle range of motion of the sore joints will heal you the fastest if nothing is broken! Get better so you keep working on that truck!

Re: Slick Copper's Build Thread
I know you said you don't have a lot of money to spend but one og the best ways to keep thee heat in is to put in a insolated celing . My cousin has a 24X72 pole barn we put 3/4" foil backed foam board on the walls and insolated and dry walled the celing. We put a 50'000btu furnace in it and was able to keep it at 65deg with 20deg out side temp, it took a day of running to get it to temp but it made it comfortable enough to swap out the engine in my plow truck. here is the only pic I could find it give you an idea

Re: Slick Copper's Build Thread
Yeah, I wish! Copper is still in one peice unfortunately. I still got the bed full of all my junk too. I am actually feeling better, back to about normal. Got a few things done while I was off work for a couple weeks. Got the corners and roof of the garage insulated with that great stuff spray foam insulation. Went to my moms and got the rest of my crap out of the barn. And got new locks on and got the latches moved to the inside of the garage door so someone can't just cut my locks and take everything I got! Been doing projects around the house too. Gotta keep the wife happy!

Re: Slick Copper's Build Thread
Alright guys, its been a while. Been kinda lazy, but I'm getting the itch back. I've been thinking a lot of the direction and colors, and pretty much almost every detail. Don't worry I'm gonna get to it soon!

Re: Slick Copper's Build Thread
Sorry guys haven't lost interest, just money's real tight and haven't had much time working too much. Work's just starting to slow a little so I guess there's no reason I couldn't start tearing ole Copper apart. guess I'm just afraid I'll never see it together again. Also if this "honey do list" could ever disappear maybe I could get something else done!

Re: Slick Copper's Build Thread
Just read all of this. Some cool info on this thread. I see you work at TMMK. I'm at TMMC up in Canada. 24 years now. Got a Tundra parked beside my 72 Blazer. Love them both. Good luck moving forward on your truck.

Re: Slick Copper's Build Thread
Anyone out there? Got some stuff at harbor freight to help with the build. Cherry Picker, MIG welder, Shop Press, and a few other odds and ends. Been doing some more to the garage and my 02 Silverado. Getting real close to start tearing him down. Will definitely happen this year.

Re: Slick Copper's Build Thread
Sounds good man. I'm sure I could use a hand sometime especially with the big stuff like bed removal and such. You'll have to stop by one weekend and check it out.
