Re: T-Man's 58 Apache project
A few blemishes along the way, guess I have some touching up to do now, oh well. Repaint part of it when I paint the front sheetmetal. My two little helpers came out and helped me take the welding paper and tape off of the truck. So as of now I have to start some final metal banging and mudwork!!!

Re: T-Man's 58 Apache project
Bumper looks great. I might need pointers in how to fix the chipped paint. Got a couple of those on the jimmy from panels bumping each other when I was out beating on it. LOL

Thanks Kim I can give you pointers, but if you keep driving that jimmy the way I have seen you do, you may need more than a bit of blending paint. lol

Re: T-Man's 58 Apache project
Nice work James! I'm sure the helpers love ripping the paper off. Peeling the tape may drive them out of the garage.

Re: T-Man's 58 Apache project
JAMES has done an amazing job fitting front pieces as we had hoped. When testing the tranny after having it rebuilt noticed we had a little wiring location problem so this is my correction

wow it is getting to be a long winter. I find myself wondering if this project will ever get done. I am finding lots of little things that were close to done but not quite.

Re: T-Man's 58 Apache project
Now those frame horns turned out really good don!!! The little details are what really gets to a person at times. But in the end when it is done. A person can step back and say that "he" built this truck. And no one else can take credit for it. It is the best feeling I. The world. Trust me. Even tho at times a build can turn bad. The end result is still rewarding. Because you did it and no one else did.

Re: T-Man's 58 Apache project
Thanks for posting so many pictures especially of the bed. Per recommendation from "ricott" I revisited your build to try to understand what you did when you shortened your bed as I begin the process of properly centering the wheels in my bed sides. Nice job. dug

Re: T-Man's 58 Apache project
Not sure your bed is on or not but I could sure use a dimension. Looking for the dimension between the cab and the bed. As you know, there are two high ridges on the back of the cab that would touch the face of the bed if pushed close enough. My gap on this non-factory approach is currently at 3/8". I am wondering what the factory dimension is. Thanks Dug
