Re: S!ck5 65 rebuild
See Gil, you've got some movement here.
I've so been wanting to attend one thing or another, but the personal life has been crazy. I've been lurking in the Cali forums hoping to drop in on the Nor Cal get together and then the Mrs. says we have a wedding in New Mexico that weekend. GRRRR. Sooner or later, I'll surprise you all and show up at an event.

Re: S!ck5 65 rebuild
So I got hood, doors, rear tire wheels, front bumper brackets and two fenders ....
I got.a lot.planned with each item.. Just took the doors apart and they are ready for sanding Hood needs some work and I just finish popping out a dent it had and need bando and sanding I'm using the fenders to replace the cut I did.wheel opening! Change of plans with the power steering not doing it any more. Truck turns a lot better with the original steering wheel Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: S!ck5 65 rebuild
Put in a metal bed floor.. Now I need some 67-72 Tubs...
Went thru another fn hood poped on me.. I bought a 97 Tahoe that drove great but owed 700 in tags soi sold it and strip the L31 engine for the truck. Other than that we cool over here. Also added the doors and that other bed.. Last edited by Sick5; 02-04-2014 at 08:02 PM. |

Re: S!ck5 65 rebuild
Bed looks good. Stockton pick and pull have 5 or so 67-72 long beds. You should be able to find a set of tubs there.

Re: S!ck5 65 rebuild
Looks good. Will the 64-66 bed wheel wells not fit? I just picked up a steel floor the other day. Do you have any more pics of how you put the bed floor in?

Re: S!ck5 65 rebuild
I made a mistake cutting the back corners to much.for me since I have raised my floor I cut about an inch on all cross beams under that bed floor. Then notch out the back corners.
On the install you have to remove one side Of the bed. And you need 67-72 wheel tubs 60-66 too small |

Re: S!ck5 65 rebuild
Looks pretty good!
Quick question though, off subject but you don't know the diameter of the tube used on your porterbuilt bridge do you?
