Hey 1Bad62Pro/Street sorry I am late responding, thanks for droppin' by.

Been away for a while but haven't stop the work. Here are a few up date pics. Some stuff is further along then what's seen here but will post more pics later. Some stuff I did I was too lazy to take pictures or it wasn't important enough to even bother showing it. The frame is boxed in some key areas but not completely. I boxed it near the new C-notches. It's just a matter of preference, I like hoses, wires/cables and fuel lines mounted inside the frame rails.

Thanks Kim, sorry I am just now responding. Been busy with so much other stuff but still make time for the truck. I haven't posted anything in a while because the work I was doing was detail stuff and work not interesting enough to take pictures of. Here are some photos of what I have done recently.

Here are some repeat and update photos of parking brake handle and original hardware pieces with Lokar parking break cable assembly. I did it this way because it is cleaner looking then the original metal rod coming out of the firewall going to the frame.

I started out using Reflectix Reflective Insulation on the floor of my cab but didn't go any further than where the bench seat goes. But I was at Kabwe house and he turned me on to the Thermo-Tec like self adhesive reflective Insulation he is using so I went to Lowes and bought some. I like it a lot better and I use the foil tape to hide the seams.

Before I put the Reflective Insulation down I cut out some sheet metal to cover the gap in the rear cab corners. I just screwed them down you can weld them in if you want or not put anything there at all. The first two photos are of Kabwe's cab corner plates in his truck.

Installed Reflective Insulation and finished up remaining fender before new windshield and new back glass rubber. Before I got to the windshield my new K&N filter was a little taller than the one I had before so I did a mod to the fire wall and removed any thing in the way that was mounted on the engine to paint the firewall and distributor well section of the fire wall.

When I removed the windshield I went on You Tube to see if I could install it myself... No way I will just stick to door glass and small back windows.

I had SafeLite Auto Glass come to my house and install the windshield after I finished painting the interior of the cab. I did my own back glass & rubber. The section behind where the old gas tank use to be I painted it with a rattle can thats why it's a different color orange. When the seat is back in you will not be able to see it I didn't want to use good paint for something you can't see I all ready did enough of that on portions where the fenders are mounted to the cab. The paint I'm using is a single stage orange from Dupont ( Dupont Chroma Premier) It's 2006 Audi Papay Orange.

Thanks Chuck and Kim. Kabwe is not so nice about it, he calls me and says , Is your truck done yet? It's a little pay back coz I gave him a hard time about how long it was taking him and I gave him an approximate time I would be done, lol..... and I still aint no where near done.

My wife was kind enough to help me get the rear window in.

The local glass shops I called did not want to come to my house, they said it was too labor intensive and that I would have to bring the truck to them. Nope didn't want to leave it at a shop. I found out through the grapevine that SafeLite makes house calls. Now they did tell me it was going to be a little tough to get the windshield in with just one guy so that's why the tech called for back up before he got to my house.

As most 47 -59 Chevy/GMC owners know the body panels and doors and stuff don't line up right and have big gaps. On the passenger side even after I replaced the lower hinge pocket and rebuilt the hinge I still had a big gap up at the top of the door just below the rain gutter rail, so I added some metal to the door to fix it.
