Motor pics...Motor is done with the exception of painting the water pump,the metal fuel lines, a few brackets,the choke,and swapping carbs.Then add alt.,power steering,a/c brackets and fan.

good job, good feeling I bet. heck, I was happy to get mine in the chassis last night even though i'm weeks from starting it again...

Yeah,it feels good to go start it.Its not hard to wire it to start just in the chassis.Hook up the wires from the hei (if you've got one) (or the alternative-points) to the plugs,run a wire to the battery from the distributor,hook up the positive from the starter to the battery,I used a remote start to start mine up.I've got a rubber line running from the pump down to a 5 gallon can of gas...I dont have the fan hooked up so I dont run it for long periods of time..
Oh,and right now I'm thinking Im going to buy a $100 cab that already has had the rust fixed..

That will save me some time..

Got the power steering and altenator on.As soon as I find the a/c brackets they will go on too.....

It will be,and is already worth it though considering what it looked like a year ago.
I got the u joints in and got some black seat belts at the junkyard today.I almost got a good bench seat but Im still hoping for buckets so I didnt get it..

Had the truck outside.I got the rear driveshaft on but it isnt long enough so it will be lengthened.As soon as I get the hole cut in the floor of the cab (from a 2wd) to clear the tranny/t case the cab is going back on...

Got the floor cut out of the 2wd cab I'm using to clear the t-case.After super chevy this weekend I'm getting started on fixing the cab.
Pretty good cut for a using torch...

$125 for both (real truck buckets,not blazer bucket seats) and 2 consoles.

Got them at a swap meet at Super Chevy.I was going to buy some from a fellow member there-Huck,but at the far corner in the middle of no-where (there was no other people with stuff for sale for atleast a 1/4 mile I seen these,from about 300 yards away! I thought they were the real deal bucket seats but found out for sure when I got there.I ended up not buying them till the end of the day,I thought they would be sold before I got back but they didnt...

I also got the rest of the panels I needed to fix the cab,thanks to GMC Paul

. Right now the buckets are shop furniture

I still have to buy or make the c channel like bracket that goes under the cab of the trucks/blazers/jimmys/burbs/panels that had bucket seats originally.

Well,today I tore apart both consoles and started to attempt to turn 2 ok ones into one nice one...I have 2 small holes in the console to repair,replace the emblem on the console lid,and replace the chrome around the ashtray and replace the ashtray.Dont need the ashtray but its easier to replace the cancel it out..

The rest isnt worth looking at,yet...
I will have some pics of the console tonight after I finish patching the 2 holes in it.Then prime and paint it and put it back together less the trim,ashtray,and emblem..
