Re: Killers 5.3L install
Hey Killer71,
I get regular email from the original post about the install. I often wondered about the eaze of stealing from these trucks as they did not address this much back then when they were built. Not from you, but rather GM, as well as other makes. I can say one thing about this site. Things need to be kept secret ie. Addresses, plate numbers, ect. I am not blaming honest to GOD friends here for anything like that but rather the thief who doesn't care and will only be stolen from himself in the long run. One very good thing I would like to add. If anyone is gonna see Killer again, it might just be a member here with an eye for detail. I could only hope for that. Luckily it was only parts and pieces and not flesh and blood. I don't mean that to desensatize your loss but rather show appreciation for your love of your truck. Sincerely, David.

The feeling of getting ripped off is the worst thing I have ever felt, so my heart goes out to you man big time, big time.
I have enjoyed this thread very much, especially since I am an ex-Okie living in the NW now. I hope the ending is good. |

Re: Killers 5.3L install
This truck was what I was aspiring to. I am still going to build mine, but I hate that this happened, and would guess if we haven't heard yet, it's not going to be found. I really hope it was appraised and properly insured. I think I will leave mine ugly, then no one will bother with me.

Re: Killers 5.3L install
Insured yes...but not properly, heck i barely had it a week....but a lesson was learned! Killer isn't gonna hold a candle to my next build up so if you liked the Killer build just hang around!

Re: Killers 5.3L install
Wow...just...wow....I just checked up on the build progress after being away for a few months, and did NOT expect it to take this kind of turn.
Killer, I hated to read about the bad news. Best o' luck to you on your next project. If it's anything close to the build that Killer 5.3L was, it'll be awesome. Keep the head up

Re: Killers 5.3L install
Nice Truck! What A/C kit did you use? Do you like it and does it blow cold? Also, how does the stock 5.3 AC Compressor fit in the frame?
