Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes

Both of your Broncos are nice. They make a super tough truck with big tires (especially being the only fullsize soid axles) and are proud and handsome when more mild. Very classy I think. Here's a couple more:

I sure like the round headlight stle better in 78 than the 79 rect style, I used aftermarket HID's in mine but was still rect, nicer though.
One last pic, man I am missing it now, but wanted the GM back.

Here are some pics of my 74 Landcruiser and 68 Bronco. They are the only toyota and Ford I will drive! but both have LS1's in them and Dana 44's underneath them. not much factory stuff left here but the frames and tubs.

I dont have any action pics on this PC other then my son the first time he got to drive my crawler at Pismo when he was 14 years old. No Fear as you can see.

The pics of both rigs on the trailer behind my Dodge are an the way to the Rubicon trail where we typically wheel them. I wil move some trail pics on this pc and post them later.

Cool thread, nice to look at everyones other rigs.

Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes

Very nice. They look like really well built rigs. I always liked the "Jeep sized" vehicles and wished GM had made one. I often looked at my 69-72 Blazers and Jimmys over the years and contemplated shrinking one down. It's funny, these days you see things like that. Back then it was seen as far fetched. The other alternative was just as you did...built tuff with Chevy stuff.

That is a sweet old Ford, I preety much like anything old, not a total Gm freak, had all makes a time or 2, but the thing is cool is cool who ever makes it. It is all about the build, works or doesn't, that one does in a lot of ways.

Nice! Is that a '70 or '71? That's an old picture, older than many here. The "vintage" part is the age of the trucks...today,yesterday,10 years ago, when brand new. To me it's early-70s and earlier. Before the trend caught on as it did about everywhere

Here's my wife's daily driven 67 CJ5. It's got a V6, and is a blast to drive. The next year or 2 will see a real paint job on it.

I dont even remember the year lol. I saw it sitting for sale and I always loved those Power Wagons. Plus the thing was beastly looking. I think I only had it a few months because one of my buddies wanted it and I think I traded him or something ... Man it sucks getting old, I cant remember a thing =)
