Not a good pic, but this is a cover for ac stuff that is below the dash. It will be sanded and covered in leather.

Re: Jimbo's 67 Long bed step side build

Still have more work to do on the interior. Need to finish some other stuff (painting, etc.) and then I will come back to door panels and headliner. If you have any questions on the interior stuff, just ask away, I will try to answer them. On Wednesday nights I meet with other car guys at different garages, so I might not answer questions till later tonight, sorry......Jim

Thanks, yes switches are for power windows. Went with a Lecarra wheel four spoke I thing it was a MK9 from Yogi's, we matched the leather to his ultraleather.....Jim

The first pic in #423 is impressive. All those measuring tools I see lying around have been of great assistance, I bet. Fine work as always, Mr. Jim.

Thanks for the compliment. When your working with leather or any material that is 60" or wider, a 6 foot aluminum ruler is great (now that first little mark is how much....Jim

Re: Jimbo's 67 Long bed step side build

Going to run off at the mouth here for a moment, but nothing bad. Post of this build will come to an end very soon. I want people to understand that this build had it ups and downs just like all of them. During the last year of its build there were about 6 months that the truck was not worked on. I helped a friend who owns a body shop for about 4 months to do a long term build (65 Chevy Impala 2 door hardtop). Lost power at the house for 10 days because of freezing rain. My wife had a heart attach and had to have 3 stints installed. About 5 months later I was in the hospital with heart problems (nothing serious like the wife), but it did slow my down. Thru all this I knew it only needed about 2 months of work to finish the job. It did get finished and turned out really nice. I just want anyone who is starting a build to not get discouraged, hang in there, and keep pushing if only for a day or two, they all add up to a complete build. Thanks for the soap box time.....Jim
