Re: crew cab short bed build " clifford"
Thanks.
I wasn't sure if it could be saved or not, but it turned out nice considering how it started out.

Re: crew cab short bed build " clifford"
It's called sharkhide (I was almost right) and you can get it from Eastwood. It's $60 a quart but you can use it on many materials.

Re: crew cab short bed build " clifford"
Well, i finally got to drive my truck for the first time today. It's still not done or legal for that matter. But we are slow at work so i am going to work on it some here during the day.
The truck ran great and rode pretty good considering i havent put any shocks on the rear yet. It made the 11 mile trip with no problems execpt that it showed to be running hot, it's not. I put the scanner on it when i got here and it showed 183 after sitting about ten minutes. I used a sending unit for a 78 and i guess i should have used one for the 90 sub cluster i used? Any way just stoked about getting to drive it.

How well did that 5.3 move it around? I'm curious to know what your mpg's are gonna be with that combo.

Re: crew cab short bed build " clifford"
If I make the trip out there & bring all the requisite parts (swb fuel tanks & bed), you can cut mine down to a shorty in a day right?
