454 nat asp. Starts just like the tbi 87 I had. It seems to idle high, but I think the cold thermostat is the cause the temp gauge won't run past 1/4 notch. Heat in cab is good. The truck originally came from Nevada, had all the work done in California. m thinking the stat is a 165. I'll get it sorted out.

Q-jet I presume? With an electric choke I wouldn't think a low engine temp would keep it on fast idle. Do the secondaries open once its warm?

Good question, I will check when I get a chance. It does kick down but not as much as I would expect.

I assume qjet, buy all I have done is synthetic oil change and block heaters, I haven't even had the air cleaner off. It had been in the -35 c range for weeks. -1 today. Feels tropical.

If it is a q-jet and you're into tinkering with that, pm me an email address. I have a great tech paper that's worth the read!

Are you running a standard rear wheel or is this like TW&T's Tow Nasty wheel?

Do you have a build thread on how to switch over to the SRW axle? I'd love to lower/bag my C30 but I'm not too sure about finding a wheel that fits.

Nice truck! I am usually not a big fan of the dual wheel look but yours is pretty sharp.

You would think there are enough trucks still on the road to keep them from being obsolete.

Took the sides off, much better. Gonna figure out a system for easy removal so I can take them off in 5 minutes.
