Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

the caps tend to corrode faster than the wheels themselves too

i realy like the foose nitrous or the american racing turbo trust 2 rims , there not rare bit i realy like how they look on the older chevy trucks

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

you have diskbrakes in the rear?
i been looking intoo using a drumbrake setup from mercedes for the handbrakes
i think there where some impalas and ford explorers that had the same setup from the factory
audi and volvo and the caddillac eldorado have calipers with build in handbrakesetups
i seen some aftermarket brakecallipes too think they where from bear brakes they had two little arms machined intoo the caliper sticking out the top in between the 4 pistons and they would mecanicly move the brakepads by squeesing the arms together

Looking nice Mike.

How much of a radius did you put onto the end of the tube? Kind of worried the wires can chafe on the edge where it enters & exits the pass thru tube.

What you have is nowhere near as bad as a single layer of sheet metal but better safe than sorry.

no radius at all, i couldnt figure out how to do that and still slide it through . I am going to wrap it with something where it comes out and goes in ???

A flap wheel or head porting type sanding roll on a die grinder would do the trick.

I was thinking a bit of silicone RTV sealant at the ends could work too and it would keep water out as well.
