Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Got her out of storage in the pole barn, cleaned the windshield and parked it in the driveway, ready for another summer of driving it everywhere i go. It's been a very dependable daily driver.

Cool Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Nothin wrong with a hat rack either... nor the cb mounts I had. At least, not back in the day... now it's all getting cleaned and smoothed up.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Got the throttle cable and assembly installed. Had to use the throttle assembly from the 61 and use it on the 63 linkage to make it work. The 235 and the 230 had different linkage. Just have to drill the hole and mount the cable on the dash now.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Last weekend I worked on the interior. Finished the sound mat and installed the carpet and seat belts and finally the seat. Starting to see the finished product. I am motivated to finish this thing!

Sorry for the bad cell phone pics.

my pop has an old manual tire machine. i broke down the tire on one side and the portawall slips around it behind the bead. after that you fill it with a little air and slowly work the portawall back into the seat. keep adding air a lil at a time to make sure you dont have some pushing out. i used a rubber mallet but it was black. after the first whack i put an old gym sock over it. (it makes black streaks). i'm still not 100 %. on 2 of the wheels i have a very small buckle in the white wall. i think it has something to do with the balance weights being in the front. i'm gonna pull em and re balance with the weights on the inside only.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

I just got home from seeing my new 383 SBC on the engine dyno at Richmond Engines here in Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
Initial pulls of around 500 HP but hoping for 525 HP after some tweaking of the timing and jetting of the carburetor.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Nice detail work. The white cluster with all the chrome really pops. I really like the seat as well.

Thanks! I recovered the seat myself. It really wasn't that hard and turned out great! Here is a pic of the whole seat.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

I went to the shop to get a tow dolly. I have been getting the truck ready to tow to the shop for painting. I have been button up this and that to get ready for it tomorrow and I line the dolly up and my wheels are too wide.. Now I have to go up to the shop and get stock wheels so it will fit on the dolly.. That is 120 mile round trip.
