No it's not professionally restored. It's a restomod or just call it a one of a kind custom. |

Now if he says frame off restoration and doesn't show you a pic under the truck, THEN I could see talking some crap on the guy. |

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
These are starting to show up on Bringatrailer, this one just jumped from $9500 to $20,000 in one step. Interior color seems odd compared to exterior and the undercarriage is way too crusty for the $$$. What do you think?

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Words like nut and bolt restoration means a close to 100 point concours restoration, not a box of aftermarket parts bolted in and custom items. Sorry, been around judged cars since the late 80's. If everybody is doing it? Then they are all wrong.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
meh, seller is quite up front of what he's selling, including a laundry list of all the aftermarket brand names..
as well as several high resolution, top to bottom, front to back, inside and out pictures to leave no question as to what it is.. highly doubt the seller is the builder here, likely a semi-wealthy customer bored with his new toy.. and either way, there's no dispute it was absolutely done professionally.. nut-and-bolt to me means every part and assembly taken down to its smallest component and replaced or refinished.. and several synonyms for restoration that could be used in multiple context.. we see the common con artists rear its ugly head quite often, but this isn't one here.. seller's shootin' straight.. as for the truck, it's way out of my league but I would certainly consider it long before ever stepping foot in a dealer cheers all and good luck shopping!

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Very good condition 10' Alaskan NCO pop-up $1800
If this were an 8 footer, I'd be sharing what I'd just bought in a different thread - just not a fan of driving with the gate down and the camper extending all the way to the end of it. But still, a real nice Alaskan. Now if only I could find an 8' version in similar condition, in Texas... https://wausau.craigslist.org/rvs/d/...669309765.html |

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
We went on vacation many years ago. My wife did all the planning because at the time I commuted many miles to work. She checked the temperatures on our route, and packed accordingly (she's very organized). We camped in Phoenix the first night, and then drove into the mountains to camp the second night. The mountains are considerably colder than Phoenix, I can tell you. We ended up wearing everything we owned that night, because we weren't packed with that kind of clothing. My breath was condensing when I got up in the morning to make some breakfast. We had borrowed a motor home from her father, so we had a stove. It had a heater, too but I hadn't expected the cold, so I hadn't turned it on. We ended up driving to Nogales and walked across the border to get a couple of wool blankets. She met her match with the people selling those blankets! I forget if we visited Tombstone before or after we went into Mexico for those blankets. They were green and white, with a little black. We still have them.

Gives new meaning to "must see". Don't even bother bidding until you do!
