Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
I got the jamb all finished up. I almost forgot how fun it is to weld and grind
upside down! |

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
Thanks guys! Not much done on the truck lately just some small detail stuff.
But I did pick up a extra 3rd door, I need the door lock linkage out of it for the 4th door. Also picked up another passenger door just because it was a good deal. |

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
thanks! I hope to get some more done this weekend I'm getting close to finishing up the fourth door. I'm approaching the one year mark on this build,
I hoped to have the cab done by now but I'm happy with my progress so far. I have a lot of days off coming up so maybe by the first of the year? |

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
finished up some details on the 4th door at the rear the shape is a little different so I grafted in a section from the fake door. This is where the little stationary window goes. also welded up the cut I made to reshape the door and I welded up the door lock hole.

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
I've been getting a lot of work done on the truck but nothing realy pic worthy.
I've also been working on a buddys truck and i have the seat out so i thought I would see how the combo of his seat and my seat looked in the crew cab. heres some pics let me know what u think |

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
I like it! I personally think a bench seat in the back would look better but that looks really cool too!

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
I worked on the front edge of the 4th door today i wanted it to look as factory as possible so i came up with a plan.
First another passenger door had to be sacrificed for the rear edge. I only needed an inch of it so I cut it in half then cut out what I needed. |

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
I still needed a double layer so I cut another 1 inch strip section from the first passenger door I cut up then slid one inside the other.
Then I fit it to the door and cut it to fit. |

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
Great build!!!Just when you think it couldnt get any better you do something to improve on what you've done!!And I agree, the bench seat in the back looks really cool.
