Also, if it is the same truck (as beautiful as it is) it shouldn't be in this thread and here's why...

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's

Here are some very old pictures of mine (like 10 years ago). The paint did NOT hold up well over the years, and the engine didn't last either. It has sat for many years waiting for me to have the funds to finish it. I decided not to continue with the "race car" look because I like living, and going 130+ mph in these trucks, even with a cage, is not the safest thing. I'm currently making plans for an air ride setup with porterbuilt stuff, a ready to bolt in engine to get it moving and of course paint and body work. Should be done before the end of the year. It did look pretty cool set up like this though.

I agree. Boris killed it on that one.

And it is Boris' simple setup with a cnotch added and a 2" block in the rear.

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's

Oh yeah... Wouldn't have any suspension travel if I didn't. From what I've read/heard anything more than 4" drop should have a notch, but some say you can run an axle flip without, but with the 2" blocks as well I needed it

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's

4.5/6.25 ECE drop.
Front: 2.5" drop spindle, 2" drop spring.
Rear: 6" drop spring, 1/4" spacer.
275/60/15 all around. Some rubbing in the front over bumps, so I recommend a slightly more narrow tire up front.

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's

Well what I did to get that was went to my machine shop an Drew up a basic spring/axle perch but the only difference was that I had him cut it I had him make it up where the perch was also the 2" block as well, so it was a 2in1 piece

You may want to take that axle out and reweld the perches without the rust. I've had bad experience with Welds+rust, they dont mix

That looks a bit scary to me. Is it fully welded? It doesn't look like the rearend was cleaned prior to welding.

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's

No they are not fully welded there... But the rust in the area of weld was cleaned up with die grinder prior to the weld being put there.
The drop specs are approximately 5" front and 8"+ in the rear.
And unfortunately I don't know what rims they are they were on the truck when I bought it they are 15" though

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's

Not sure if this is right forum

I have P295/50R15 on rear of my 71 C10 and P255/60R15 on the front I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find the idealistic drop? Does anyone have this setup or know of the best or most common drop. Thanks in advance for your input.

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's

4/6 is good for ride , thats what I have with an additional 3" of body drop, my tires are close in size to yours. So what you see in my pics is 7/9 drop. If you don't have deep bs win the rear Rims your tires will rub you need 6.5 bs atleast for a 12 wide rear and that is on an early(narrow rear) you need 7.5 bs for a 70+ rear. With a 10 rim just subtract 2" bs =)
