Sorry to hear about your mother, Jim, condolences.

I don't know Fitech Injection, so I'll keep an eye on it!

Jim, will you be running the fuel command center on your install?

Hey Doug, No I will not be running the command center. The only negative point from all the reviews I read was always the command center. I'm doing the same as Leevon and running the pump on the frame to the unit and return to tank.

I checked Speedway, Summit, Jegs, etc. The fuel system hook up is on back order, Jegs says 10/3 will ship. I talked to tech at FITech and he said it would be longer than that, possibly 4 weeks. I will order the unit tomorror, they will ship that day, and go on the list for the fuel system. I'm checking the net for other kits, if I can find good stuff for about the same price I will buy that...Jim

EFI is something you will never regret, in my admittedly dim opinion. its like going from a bugle to a symphony.

joedoh, I agree 100%, Mark and I have put LS engines in a few cars and it is unbeliveable how nice they are. I have been wanting to do mine for a couple years. I ordered mine today, Fitech, unit will ship tomorrow and pump lines, etc to ship on Oct 3, can't wait to get it installed....Jim

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build

Hey troops, you can't believe how busy I've been the last couple weeks, and this week is starting to look busy. Anyhow I received by Fitech unit on Thursday 9/29 and the unit looks great. I also cancelled by order for the fuel pump system with Fitech, would be a least 3 weeks before shipping. I ordered the LS1/LT1 system from Speedway and a couple fittings, should be here Tuesday October 4. Mark and I will pick up the rest locally, which he has done for the LS swaps.

Talk to Leevon today, very helpful with how he set his up, and I'm following suit. It still may be awhile before I can work on mine. Mark got in another job today, 78 Firebird, needs complete floor pans installed. So three cars in the shop, so I will wait my turn.

Pic of unit in the box.

Will post as I start changing my stuff...Jim

Jim, I have the Speedway setup in my S10. I haven't had any problems in 29,000 miles! It is Noisy though, but at least you know it's pumping

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build

I am using the whole setup. But the pump is loud you can hear it real easy. I have been busy mowing all summer. Right now I'm in Florida waiting out Matthew at a Campground in Jacksonville. Came down to visit my Daughter and Grandkids. It's been a downer with all the rain.

Ray, bummer on the rain, but your still with family. Mark as been installing, what I call a sock on the pump, and it works great. Got in from Speedway, see if I can get this link to work. I'm doing something wrong on the link, but part is #960939, cost $14.99. Might want to check it out...Jim

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build

Hey guys and gals, finally started work on my install of the FiTech unit. Worked a few hours on Sunday. Some more on Monday and Tuesday. Will finish up today and hope to report back on how it runs. We are going to have rain today for most of the day, will see.

1st and 2nd pics are of my old fuel system, it was hard line from front to back.

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build

Here is the new cooper/nickel hard line for return from unit. The orange wire is power to plus side of pump. I will come back later, open up the wire loom and put wire inside. Just want to get it running now.
