Nice, there's something about the original air cleaner that is just right.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

Hey cheby what did you end up doing w/ your bed floor particularly raising your bed sides & wheel wells.Have you redone them yet? I'm about at that point & my bed sides are new. Being a mechanic not a bodyman my nerves are frazzled just thinking about cutting into inner body panels & I only want to do it once.Any advice would be appreciated! Mac

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

i am not raising mine anymore than i have .... i am just going to have to notch the bed floor , the raising the bedfloor is a huge job to do it right, like i said when i first raised the bed floor i wasnt planning on going anywhere near this low and i just wanted to cover my notch ,, so now i have a raised bed floor and a cut out, the nice thing is the raised bedfloor allowed me plenty room for my fuel cell ( which doesnt hang below my frame at all) and for all of my air ride to be underneath..... all that being said ITS A LOT OF WORK !! ask me any questions you would like i will sure try to help you

AW, come on now. Dune buggies aren't nearly as cool as your truck.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

trying to make a little money for the Truck !!,,, it has also turned into one of those SNOWBALL purchases.. i bought it intending on getting it running and selling it, now complete restoration !! NOW i REGRET buying it because i cant just "HALF #!@$" anything i have got to go all the way !!! and i am wasting time working on it when i should be working on the truck ... i was getting a little burned out on the truck though maybe this will re light my fire for the truck

just reading some of your thread, nice work BTW, I was wanting to know why you had to move the trailing arm crossmember back an inch. is it to center the rear wheels while laid out? just curious

Awesome!! My body shop got busy and set mine aside again. Ugh. Hopefully an update when I go check it out tomorrow.

I'll continue to live vicariously through you while you put yours back together. Can't wait to see the progress pics!
