Mainly junk yards. Hard to find one that will even turn. One running hardly exists anymore.

cars prolly allways be connected to wild/pinup girls as there used in advertizing of cars all over the world and because youngsters try to impress girls with them in hopes to get some action sortah say
i have to say that it toned down a lot in hot rod and simulair magazines since the 80's maibe you could ask you tube to get a G rating

Re: 702 GMC V-12 powered '62 GMC 1-ton
I've had second thoughts about it after we/he decided to agree to do it. We darn sure never posted the videos for money or gain of any kind in mind and at their request. It was for enjoyment and passtime to discuss and get ideas from this forum. I sure don't want to do anything to mess that up. Never thought about what kind of ads they might put on. I thought it would probably be all automotive related. Shows how dumb I am. World is sure getting complicated for this old country boy. I'll have Haystack check into it, see what he can learn if we have any say-so about ad content or how long we've agreed to running them.
Thanks, Cayoterun

Most ads I've seen has been harmless, but one or two made me wonder where it might lead. It will probably be ok, I hope.
Jon: Has it been colder and more snow than normal up there? We've had some nice snows here with no wind, and we like those. Cayoterun

Re: 702 GMC V-12 powered '62 GMC 1-ton
actually the opposite... we had a real cold 2 weeks before christmas, and then it was warmer, and almost no snow until the last week or so.
definately some erratic weather patterns....

Re: 702 GMC V-12 powered '62 GMC 1-ton
I submitted my Mustang video for revenue sharing about 100,000 hits ago and I still haven't seen anything. I keep hoping Hollywood will be calling any day now.
Personally I think this is the worst winter here in the DFW area in my 43 years. Today was the first full sunny day in weeks. We got a foot of snow last Thursday. It usually takes 10 years around here to get a foot of snow. One good thing is that I haven't seen any fire ants in awhile. Is it summer yet?

Re: 702 GMC V-12 powered '62 GMC 1-ton
I watched Amarillo weather. According to them, you guys really got dumped on. Record snowfall that day, wasn't it?
Youtube: I haven't ordered a ThunderV12 yet, planning to pay for it with the revenue. I may try running Balaur with the existing radiator without a hood until some of us come up with a reliable solution to the heating problems. Lots of other work needs to be done before any steady driving. Cayoterun

Re: 702 GMC V-12 powered '62 GMC 1-ton
Sweet music: Fired "Balaur" up today for the first time since last fall. I think I've gone about as far as I'm going to with the old truck. May go to a couple of "show and tells" with it this summer as it is. After that-----haven't decided.

Re: 702 GMC V-12 powered '62 GMC 1-ton
We've had great winter snows that didn't drift, and getting nice spring rains. Looking good for the winter wheat, and early pasture growth for cattle. As the saying goes, "Don't count your chickens 'til they hatch".

Re: 702 GMC V-12 powered '62 GMC 1-ton
I've been considering this for some time. Started working on arrangments yesterday to take "Balaur" to her first "Show and Tell" and new permanent home next weekend. If all works out, she will be on display for future generations. For those who have followed this thread, the truck kinda' evolved, but the motor was the major focus for preservation purposes. Hope to add closing pics and video to this thread next week.

I think that is great. Especially if they make it a working exhibit. It would be great to be able to see it running in person.
