Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Going to go with the clean look, found some nice coil relocation brackets, I have the accessories off and no body panels so it's a little risky moving stuff but I think this is going to work

Looks great....Less is more. I like the location where you mounted the coils. know you just need new (longer) wires right?

Yes, the kit came with some universal plug wires (MSD). I just cut to length and put the coil ends on, worked great!

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

She started to turn orange today

Corvette Accessories can be made to work but will require several unfavorable mods, tried the Vintage Air Front Runner System but the water pump will not work with the supercharger.

Looks like Wegner is the answer, here a some photos of what that system looks like, NOT MY MOTOR.

I had the same problem with supercharger set up. We modded the Kwik brackets to work but, the Wegner is a much better looking choice. Nice work by the way.

Here's a little tease

This picture really shows how the paint changes shade depending on the angle, which should provide lots of shades with this truck.

Looks Awesome!
Take it from me, the undersides of those inner fenders will never look like that again...

Funny you say that, they sprayed the wrong side, it's supposed to be lizard skin still looks great but the final product will be lizard skin. Painter doesn't think it's funny but they will make it right, it was a honest mistake.

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

I thought it was funny that the underside of the wheel wells were painted body color,
but I didn't say anything .
I was thinking I guess it was going to be a show truck?
it's good thing he didn't have the lizard skin painted on the wrong side yet lol .

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

I will definitely put it in some local car shows but she will be a weekend driver and will suffer some dings. All the underside is coated, sprayed it up inside bed between inner and outer skin to help with rocks chipping paint from inside as well.

I am having all surface painted and cleared even if they will not be exposed for rust and sound issues. This old girl is 50 and I'm trying to make sure she is around for another 50!

Here's the tubs:

Upgraded the fuel pump to Aeromotive 340 Stealth Fuel Pump (11141) 70psi, supercharger calls for 66 psi.

Will also upgrade regulator to Aeromotive EFI Bypass Regulator 13129
