Finally got my 04 Z06 ls6 installed in my 71 2wd blazer! Completely rebuilt (fairly stock), Kwik performance bracket system. Seems to be running well.....

My 1990 Jimmy redo. Sent it to a place in Vegas. Paid 16K and received the worst workmanship i have ever seen in my life. Note to self. Even if your to busy in the oil patch working....still...do it yourself.

if i have a complete 2004 gm truck is it hard to do the swap onto a 83 blazer im pretty handy just not sure i see a lot of you guys do it just thinking the wires look a little scary . and when i say 83 blazer its cause my frame is a 83 but my truck is a 69 so im kinda handy
just not sure what i need to take out of my 04

Finally got my LS3 in for good (hopefully) in my 66'. Need to adjust the trans/engine angle a little but all fit nicely.

My LS swap is dropping in today into my 1966 C10. Out with the old 6 cyl 250 for a new 5.3 v8 with 6L80E transmission!

Looks like you're going to have some of the same problems I did.
I had to use a swivel thermostat housing for the lower radiator hose to fit, I also should have removed the heater hose barbs and tapped the holes for pipe thread. That way you can put a 90 in. If you don't the hoses will kink and rub against the inner fender.

Also the Sanderson headers would have been a good fit if I didn't have a GTO motor/trans. They fit tight and drop toward the back, leaving more room for your steering linkage. I ended up using Hooker block huggers, they were a pain for fitting the steering.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. We have several LS based builds going in the 47 - 59 section and are figuring out the variables of what fits, doesn't fit and potential modifications needed.
