Re: 1964-1966 center a/c vent

My 1964 through 1966 AC vent kit comes with a template to cut the dashboard correctly like the factory. Also some recommendations on what color to use if you want it to look Factory stock. And it comes with a company that I highly recommend to get your vent balls chromed. The whole kit is $355.61 priority mail shipped to your door. That price include shipping if you're in the USA.

Just So I get this right, the nozzles aren't chromed when the assembly is ordered? So, I have to disassemble them and have it done myself?

Re: 1964-1966 center a/c vent

Jim gives you a couple of companies that will do the chroming, there are a few different ways to accomplish the factory look.

Jim used to chrome them, however costs and delays on the chrome companies was putting him in a huge bind.

Chroming anything isn’t cheap, especially for a quality job.

PM/e-mail your pics to me. I'll post them up for others that will likely have similar questions.

Has anyone tried chrome spray paint on the balls? Here is a test of manufacturers.

Same guy did this video on the application of chrome paint. Vents would have challenges but I might try.

I had issues with Photobucket & moved much of my stuff to Flickr in 2013 I think. I got an email last year that I would have to upgrade in order to access most of my photos, which meant having to pay. I think Flickr was struggling to stay afloat & got picked up by SmugMug a couple years ago. Anyway, I just got an email a few days ago saying that Flickr is still losing money, & it wanted me to share a link to try and get new subscribers. Now that has me worried! Think I'm about to start removing my photos from there, as painful a process as it is. I've really enjoyed having it, but I'm "iffy" about their future. Just giving you a heads-up in case Flickr was/is a consideration for you.

For history and fact checkers and undesirable "rare" items - I missed a chance to buy this truck. It was last on the road in 1977. But, it is a factory air SMALL window cab.

Not sure why anyone would check every box except BBW.....

Re: 1964-1966 center a/c vent

I upload many of my pics straight from my phone. I had an s7 and now have an s8. I just click the go advanced button then scroll down to where the additional options are and click the button for manage attachments. When the upload screen pops up, you have to upload one picture at a time, but it isn't the worst thing to do.

One thing that I have noticed is I always have to take pics with my phone sideways (top of phone to the left) so that the pics are oriented correctly on this site straight from my phone
