Looking good Keith! After following your last project dealing with the aftermarket sheet metal, I don't think the rust is going to slow you down at all!

Re: Project "Redemption" 68 SWB Fleetside
Thanks, yours is looking really good. I love the all black
Thanks Mike, as fast as your moving on yours, I knew I had to pick up the pace Thanks Russ, now comes the fun part of cutting out the rust in the cab. Quote:
I would, but if you notice in the second picture my cab floor looks like the Flintstone mobile. I have to at least fix the cab floor. I definitely don't plan on painting it, that was the mistake I made on my last project and why I had 5 years invested without ever driving it. All I plan on doing is trying to match the Red and white patina/faded paint that is already there. The roof has great patina and I don't want to mess with that. Thanks Mike, now comes the real fun

Thanks guys, if the weather is nice this weekend, I'll throw the passenger door and fender on and maybe push her outside for some better pictures before tearing her back apart to fix the cab

Man those clamps are pretty slick and I like that they have weld on versions too. Going to go that route when I get rolling on the exhaust. Truck is looking great btw! Start counting the number of times your cab comes off now. I have removed mine 4 times so far

Thanks, yeah she tucked right into the firewall nicely. I'm very happy that I don't have to modify anything. I'll save that for when the truck is road ready. It'll be a celebration. Quote:

Re: Project "Redemption" 68 SWB Fleetside
I agree with Gringo.. Just fix the rust issue that are pressing throw the sheetmetal on and have fun..
I wish I had patina or banged up paint. I'm too worried about the paint on my truck right now.

Got the passenger side door and fender mounted up along with the grill and cowl today. Then I threw the hood on and pushed her outside for some pics before I take it all back apart
