Haven't been working on it for a few days. Been putting together some parts to sell which has to take precedence right now. Will try to get back to it soon!

I like the idea of two-tone just grill area and roof. I was thinking of doing mine that way too.

Definitely interested. I have been looking on here/ebay/craigslist for a deal. How many miles? What brand are your parts? And when would you be taking them off?

Re: Rebuild on a shoestring.....continued
LOL!!!! What I meant was.....I need all those parts as well. I thought you may have the low down on some good parts. Also, I got the distributor off yesterday it looks brand new. When I get the truck home Wednesday I will take pics and see if you still want me to send it to you just pay for the ride.

Re: Rebuild on a shoestring.....continued
aw man, thought I found my deal
I've been looking at cpp's 3/4 kit on ebay. It's been as low as 299 with shipping for the springs with rear spring perches and four drop shocks.

Re: Rebuild on a shoestring.....continued
Finally noticed and found your build thread. Read through quite a bit of it just to find out you're gonna sell it. What a pity. Course the way you are, you'll probably have another one before long.

Nope, just wanted to see how they turned out. Didn't see you post in the thread on 'em. I'm gonna be doing it to mine eventually, but I'll be using a sunpro tach (white face).

Re: Rebuild on a shoestring.....continued
Now I remember. Nope, haven't done a white one yet. I finally got all the materials to do it but not sure if it's worth my time...looks like they only sell for 350-400 fully done and it's a lot of time to do them and a std tach setup sells for that. There's almost $100 in overlays and lense cost too...so you add that with a printed circuit 55, and a new bezel 45 and that's 200 in materials for a dash that already cost me around 150-200 and now I have zero profit and a ton of time....so I think I'll be selling the overlay kits to someone wanting to do it themselves on their own truck....

Re: Rebuild on a shoestring.....continued
....uh huh. Yeah send those my way! How much would you charge a good friend like me for a lense kit, gauge overlays, and a new 67 w/choke bezel?

Re: Rebuild on a shoestring.....continued
Sorry to hear you haven't found a new full time job yet.
I was in the same boat until a couple weeks ago but was only off for four months. I had to dump my architecture degree in the trash and go back to my machinist training from the air force to get back to work. Do you have any previous training or experience you could fall back on until the building trade picks back up?
