Re: post up your camping pics
Awesome views! I seen a few myself this summer but not pictured. Now the truck is down for upgrades yet it's the fall season which is the best scenery time. Been riding the rzr through town and on errands just to say i got out hahaha.

been a miserable month weather wise, rain of some sort for like 22 days this month. finally caught a nice day, and (at last...) on a day off.
chum salmon with a few steelheads are running right now, have'nt had fish in a while, so me & dawg went fishin' today looking for one of them elusive, few steelies. tried not to get the hydro lines....Neskawatch creek area up behind Mt Cheam ready............................................................................................... ..............................................set......... ..and go! |

Re: post up your camping pics
ok, maybe not the place to find a steelie. headed up to Slesse creek instead
actually took this one on the way out, just liked the way it looked all clouded over... man, for an 11 yr old, dawg still loves blasting around out in the bush... dusting of snow happening on the local mountains |

Re: post up your camping pics
took a trip down a way old memory lane on my way to Foley. 'bout 40+ yrs ago, lived in a small house on this property. i think this is the actual spot where the house stood, has been 40 yrs since i been here.
i remember it had a well for water with a cranky old pump that never seemed to work. we would trudge up this path (still there!) to this pond that my dad created. Pierce creek is about 800 ft away & he diverted part of it by digging a channel & building a wooden flume in other spots. those logs were part of a platform he had made, & what we would dive off |

Re: post up your camping pics
used to have a rickety old barn in this field.....
the military took over the land awhile ago and has been using it for training. they certainly cleaned it out... foley creek. with all the rain last month, water is everywhere, and running high. foley bluffs, would like to scale them one day |

Re: post up your camping pics
dieseldawg142, Your pictures make me homesick for a place I have never been. The mountains call to me, I just need to leave my current life with security and move to a place where I believe I will actually be happy every day.
Thank you for all the great pictures, please keep it up |

Re: post up your camping pics
road was not in horrible shape, but it had it's moments. water all over the place, lots of slides, waterfalls everywhere, the ground is saturated
Foley creek falls one of the slides had to cross this one drove the pucker factor up. most of the road is gone, but if the jeeps & 'yota's can do it, so can i. it was VERY soft, especially with that puddle sitting on it, i swear to god i could feel the road "moving" & watched dirt & rocks start tumbling 70 feet down to the lake....when i came back, i practically had the stepper vertical up the side of the mountain away from the edge... |
