Most 47 -59 Chevy/GMC owners know the body panels and doors and stuff don't line up right and have big gaps. On the passenger side even after I replaced the lower hinge pocket and rebuilt the hinge I still had a big gap up at the top of the door just below the rain gutter rail, so I added some metal to the door to fix it.

They aren't 100% but I tried to just take care of the most noticeable stuff.

Some kool Advance Design and Task Force trucks I came across recently. When I went to take pictures of of the Union Pacific Big Boy Steam locomotive at the the Kelso Train Depot in the Calif. desert I came across this cool looking '55 Chevy truck out of Nevada. The Big Boy taken from Pomona Calif. headed to Cheyenne, Wyoming for total restoration to be put back in service.

Here's a kool '57 at the 9th Annual Edelbrock Car Show 2014. It caught fire after a fuel line failed and had it rebuilt. A few minor differences but basically looks the same as it did before it burned up.

I have changed a few things since we met up out there. Fuel lines, interior, lowered radiator, etc.

There are at least 2 shows a day on each Saturday & Sunday out here. Somewhere in the LA area there is always something happening with old cars/trucks every day of the week be it a cruise in, meet& greet, show, get together etc. On Sunday mornings "Cruising Brothers" has a breakfast cruise in downtown upland. They are a great group of guys that have a lot of different cars in their group.

Hey lowrodderchev go here http://www.socalcarculture.com/events.html Next time you are down in this neck of the woods you can always check out the event schedule on that site and have some place to go. Every Saturday even if there isn't a car show locally in my area you see classic cars and trucks, Muscle cars, trailer queens, low riders & bikes going somewhere. Every time I hop in my '68 Pontiac wagon on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon I come across other classics going to a show leaving a show or just out cruzin' Here's a short list.

Just like Fabguy said, "there is always something happening with old cars/trucks every day of the week" Plus cruise spots and illegal street racing that's not even listed. The low rider scene is a whole other world unto itself and the garage built chopper scene.

Still here just been checkin' out other folks kool projects every now and again & still working on my seemingly never ending project. Have been eating a little humble pie coz Kabwe http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php?t=440079/ has been ridin' me coz my truck aint done yet. When I was still driving it I was given him a hard time about Why aint your truck done yet and opened my big mouth and told him I would have my metal work and paint done in a couple of years. It's been a little longer then that now and still not close to completion. The latest thing I have been doing is the rear wheel tubs. I just wanted to do something that was different. It is different but not original I have seen it on a three different trucks over the years. Two were ADVANCE DESIGN trucks and one is a TASK FORCE truck. Here are some pictures of what I came up with. The first 2 photos are the Heisenberg Task Force http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=527352 I had plans to do this a long time ago but the shop that built the Heisenberg truck beat me too it. However when you see my finish product you will see the wheel tubs are very different. The third photo is what the tubs and the bed of my truck look like when I did it up the first time.
