It's funny you say that, I am thinking about doing a thread about all of the things I believe I've done wrong on this build. Now I need some PB parts to center the rear wheels too, I guess I'm going to have to contact Nate directly.

I am going to have to collect up some more parts first, mainly lower ball joints a new sway bar. Shouldn't be too awful long.

Check Rockauto for the ball joints, they were half of the price of the local parts stores.

I think you are spot on with that suggestion Rob, Thanks! You don't happen to have a sway bar that will work with PB arms do ya?

Get an Addco bar.
Not sure on a source,... but Porterbuilt sells them.
Stock and a narrowed version for the Dropmember.

Re: Project "Just an Old Truck"

Well, the test drive went okay but there was a glitch. The pads were rubbing on the "hat" portion of the rotor. Luckily my test drive was to a friends house so we pulled the wheels and calipers off and ground the backing plates on the pads for clearance. Another test drive and the ride home went well. Here is a pic of the groove the pad had started to make.

Do you have a clear shot of the backside of the rotor/caliper setup? curious to see how CPP's kit is vs the Kit I have from Toms Classics.........more importantly what the rotor application is originally from?

Love the truck! This is one of my favorites. If you don't mind me asking, what did you use for the shift linkage from column to tranny?

Thanks Buck. I just installed the column cable shift from Lokar last weekend but had a little trouble getting things dialed in. Does your shift indicator on your column match up pretty well to the actual gear that you're in? Mine seems to be off a bit with the cable, but it may just need more adjusting. Or maybe I should just get the solid linkage as you did. Thanks.

No, mine is only correct in Park and Drive. I think I could get it pretty close by adjusting where the pushrod attaches to arm on the transmission, but I am just not that worried about it. Maybe someday i'll spend some time on it.

I saw where a guy lengthened the arm on the column to get his to be in the correct position on the indicator, apparently it works, however I don't know if there is a "correct" way to do it and if that's it or not, that's up to the engineers to argue over.
