Re: Post "Your" 4x4 pic here..........
Well PRG MACHINE she looks almost good as new. That's the great thing about these good ol'trucks made of steel, they can always be fixed !!! I was gonna offer you a '69 front end off one I'm parting out but I see you found another '67-'68. I'm in Newberg between Salem and Portland what part of the state are you in ? We just got home from buying groceries at Winco and there are two red does across the road grazing and there was one laying dead out on the 5 this afternoon. I love the deer but there are a lot of folks hitting them, about 15 on our road in the last 4 years !

Looks great Skittle. I like the color & stance. What lift kit did you use and what is your tire size?

Re: Post "Your" 4x4 pic here..........
I used to run half straight veggie oil and half diesel in my old powerstroke. Did it for years with no problems. Haven't tried it on the newer ones though with the extra emission items.
What color of orange is that? Last edited by Ironman97459; 10-27-2008 at 07:33 PM. |

Re: Post "Your" 4x4 pic here..........
the newer diesels have a higher linepresure and tighter injectors to make a more efficient mist inside the engine to get the mixture to combust with less fuel , they dont respond whell to straight veggie oil and clog up or at least run like crap .
you might be able to use biodiesel though wish is basicly the same but they took the gliserine out , seen that on dirty jobs on discovery . its a pretty straight-forwarth proces just need to learn that process singe every batch of veggie oil differs , you need to air the stuff too after cleaning it to get the residue water and alkalines out (wish they dont show on that show )
