Re: My 1965 build thread
Does anyone have any pix of how the cab bushings go? I'm going to paint the roof since it is sitting on the ground. Then test fit the cab on the frame finish seam sealing. While it is on the frame I can get to the bottom of the cab to finish up the seats. Then the cab will finally get some color.
Yes

I can tell that when someone has a lot of experience, if only I could be closer to visit to see how a pro works. Great job and keep the pictures coming.

Thanks, it's 1969 Hugger Orange Thanks for the picture of the bushings The seat brackets are almost done. I bolted them to the seats, set the seats in place, aligned, then tacked in place. Finaly I drilled thru the bracket and floor 16 times. I will remove the tacks and clean up This is what the bottom of the center seat looks like or use too. Right now this is what it looks like. It got late last night and didn't finish the last leg. I just cut off the feet and turned them to the inside. There was some interfearance with the seats. I had to locate the center seat to the front somewhat because when I flipped the center seat back up it hit the back of the cab. After all of this i realized that the seat brackets probably weren't needed. I could have flipped the center seat brackets the way I did and just shortened them. The seats sat on the floor just fine without the center seat in. But with the seats being raised it made it more comfortable and more leg room. I felt like it was easier to reach the pedals. I've sat in another truck with these same seats and it was ackward driving it, by that I mean I felt like I had to lift my leg up when going from the gas to the brake.

Re: My 1965 build thread
Looks very nice Allen...Love the Orange. The newer seats are much harder to install being three pieces....and I know what you mean about the seat height. I am 5'-11" and in my 02 HD I have the seat adjusted all the way up, not forward but up, because it feels better. With it down it feels like your sitting in a hole or maybe on one of those weard bikes with your feet out in front of you.... Doesn't that seat have the electric adjust?

Didn't make it out to the shop tonite. I spent some time looking for someone selling a junky SBC engine so I can rob some parts off of it so I can get my engine and tranny in place. Also wondering and trying to locate a good place to get wiring connectors for the harness install. I need a good source so when the time comes and I know what I need I'll know where to go.

Re: My 1965 build thread
Paintable timing cover
Timing pointer 8 " Paintable oil pan Fuel pump plate and push rod Distributor and clamp- White Performance Oil pump, screen, bolt, drive rod -White Performance Push rods-White performance Numerous bolts I'm sure i am missing something. I stripped what ever was needed to get a numbers matching engine back in a 75 vette I had. This engine has about 500 miles on it. I'm mad at myself that I sold the 283 out of the truck cause I got tired of it being in the way and I needed some cash. Most everything I needed was on that engine. Note to self, don't sell anything until project is done. I was hoping to find someone with some extra parts that i could use. It looks like i will order from White Performance when the time comes. I've heard alot of good stuff about them.
