Re: How Many 4 Wheel Drive Blazers Do We Have?
It's about time I got one BTW,once I get it I'll add info into the GMC database thread,Craig
It runs, drivers, and the 4wd may work but its not pretty, yet.Give me a year or so Plans are swap in 465/np205,6" lift and 35" tires..and of course lots of work body wise. Its not a jimmy, its not a blazer, and its not a blammy, its a blimmy Actually it's a GMC hiding its 4 eyes as a 2 eyed '70 model Last edited by 1969k10stepside; 08-12-2007 at 12:21 AM. |

Re: How Many 4 Wheel Drive Blazers Do We Have?
teamharvey - I didn't know whose blazer that was but I had it as my desktop at work. When I started looking to buy one for myself. I just thought I'd let you know your truck got a lot of complements.
Also here's my ugly duckling Orange Crush. Thanks to everyone for all the help. -Jason

Re: How Many 4 Wheel Drive Blazers Do We Have?
Howdy, folks! I started out looking for a 2WD, but when I came across this eBay deal, I went for it even though it's 4WD.
Sporting factory original ochre paint, it has a very nice original interior, save for the seats, which will soon be replaced with a pair of Flo-Fit sporty car types from my previous 2WD Blazer project (RIP). Crate 350 motor has VortecZZ5 cylinder heads, Comp Cams internals, Edelbrock carb/manifold, MSD HEI distributor & Blaster coil, Hooker headers, TH 350 tranny with stock stall converter and a few other goodies. Currently, the Blazer sits 2.5" high courtesy of a Skyjacker all spring kit & Pro-Comp shocks, but I want a more street-friendly daily driver ride, so I'll be lowering it and swapping out the 33" BFGs for more suitable rubber (any size/profile suggestions you might have are welcomed!!!). When I took delivery (shipping from Washington state to Atlanta, GA!), the front disks were in great shape, but the rear drums were shot. After a bit of searching, we found a pair of six lugs and now the Blazer stops with authority. A few other minor glitches (plus, er, cash flow issues) have kept the truck in the shop for a couple of weeks, but I'm hoping to get 'er on the street later this week. I'm also planning on purchasing one of those last-batch BesTops, which I enjoyed on my previous truck. Love the forum, y'all. Keep the great ideas, advice, instructions and cool Blazers coming!
