Re: Project: Turbo 250

Well, heres the update in words for now pics later after my exams today... We started at 0900 and finished up last night at about 2115 The harness has been built, split divided, wrapped and for the most part placed and secured. I just have to crimp and solder the ends on now and finish plugging everything in. This week is midterms for school so we shall see how much time I get to work on it....

Re: Project: Turbo 250

LMAO!!! Yeah I know... I had to go from 3/4" ID heater hose off the water pump to 5/8" ID for the the vintage air... and then I never trimmed it to length for the 5/8" as I am not sure if I am going to run it in the inner fenderwell or not... So I just coiled it up and tossed it in till the wiring is done...

Pretty sure anyone who has done a complete frame off can understand this and can chuckle about some miniscule thing that drove them nuts during their build that is now behind them.

That wont be till spring unless the weather cooperates and I can get 750 miles on the truck this year. I have a 750 mile break in on the clutch and I have to break the motor and rear end in first as well. But the guy who cut my driveshaft has given me permission (he offered) to let me use his shop's parking lot to do a smoke screen and shoot any videos!

Re: Project: Turbo 250

Nice show!! Just spent the morning running down your build. When I got the the part where Bubba had smashed your bed I was about to cry!!!

I had a three month head start and you've blown by me!!! I thought my truck was rust free, man you got lucky on the WASHINGTION truck! Ours both came from the same California plant brother!!

SUBSCRIBED, better late than never!

Re: Project: Turbo 250

And I've been frustrated it is taking me so long! lol especially because I have been away from the truck completely for a total of 3 months during the last year due to my clinical rotations. if it wasnt for me having to move away for periods of time, the truck would be done!

Re: Project: Turbo 250

About your drive shaft I cant remember if you had to lengthen or shorten it.
also something about that last pic of your engine, even with the unfinished wiring and hoses the lighting or something makes that shot look awesome !

I had to shorten it about 3" Driveline in Dubuque, IA does amazing work, I would be hard pressed to take my stuff anywhere else. and yes it is the lighting. I have the truck in the upstairs garage where the walls and ceiling are all drywalled and spackled, painted white like the inside of the house, so I used the 500 watt halogens to reflect light off of the ceiling onto the engine bay and took the shot!
