Looks a whole lot better than anything I could do! I wish I could weld so bad! Opens up tons of possibilities. By the way, whats that trim around your door lock? I like it.

No clue but it has to go!!! lol My trucks a GMC lol....

Welding isnt hard man....Go to harbor freight and pic up a 90 amp flux core welder...I think they are $109 right now.....Then just practice on stuff...Also will want a auto dimming helmet but i just started doing it so its not like I really know what im doing either...I started on my inner fender wells for practice

haha!! Yeah they got lit up pretty good...I have spatter marks all over my arms where they burnt through my shirt too! lol


Actually caught the sending unit cap on fire...... Anyone know where or what kind cap is on these things??? I need to get a new one

Yeah, the old spark shower. You should have seen the guys uniforms that worked in the welding shop a my old company, looked like really bad pirate costumes, lol

LOL! It was better then the Gas tank....Which I did catch on fire a couple times but thats another story...Well really it was the fuel line for a sec and the cap on the return unit....Which I need to replace but not sure what it is lol

diff vent cap?,not a good/safe spot.mine was @ the rad support

Well the only thing I got done before rain hit was cutting the actual cab corner replacement piece down....BUT i said screw the rain!! Taped up the electrical cord and cut away the cab corner and got it lined up to weld....Still needs a little adjustment aka bending going into the cab but thats about it

Well the rain stopped and I went to it....I got dirty as crap but I got the corner installed, welded, and grinded down but no bondo as I dont want the rain to ruin it.

I also wire wheeled the crap out of the frame and it just needs to be washed and painted now..

My fuel sending unit showed up today too so im pretty excited about that as well

Now time to go get lunch
