Kabwe, the truck is very cool but dude, that '55! That thing is AWESOME. I'm dying to get my hands on a '55 post, tube chassis pro-street car. Got too many projects right now, but that's on a very short list. Freakin' love that '55!

(Just checked out the pics on the truck build... Also AWESOME!)

Later,

Sean

Re: SoCal checkin' in

Hey Hulk Will Smash, Nice truck!!! Who ever designed it is freakin awesome!!!

If you guys want, we can meet at my shop this weekend, and maybe go for a cruise afterwards. I have a bbq here, so we can have everyone bring an item, and we'll cook it up, hang out, talk about trucks, and cruise.

If you guys are in, lets start a list of who's coming, and if you can bring anything to eat/drink.

I'm cool with anytime saturday. I'll start throwing out some times...11 am? or maybe noon?

Since I'm hosting, I will provide hot dogs and some condiments. I also have a fridge/freezer here.

Just throwing it out there...let me know what you guys think.

Jimmy

Re: SoCal checkin' in

Sounds good to me, but I think it might be a better idea if we cruise over to a burger joint and eat. I'm not trying to change your suggestion but, planning something like this might be tough on somewhat short notice. I think by volunteering your place to meet up is enough on your part. If, you decide to BBQ I can bring something.

Well if you guys want to cruise to a burger spot and eat there, I know a cool burger place not too far from my shop that has great food, shakes, and its a cool place. Its setup like a 50's diner. I think a place like that would suite us well

But I'm totally open to comments / suggestions. Just looking forward to meeting more board members, and getting the truck out for a saturday cruise.

I'd be up to cruise out to that if anyone else wants to do that. Its about a 25 minute drive up beach blvd. from my shop, if anyone wants to meet up here, and cruise out to that from the shop, would be a nice drive.

You little dudes don't know how good you got it. When I was young and strong and playing sports, I loved being big. Now that I'm fat, old and broken down, I'd love to be about 4 inches shorter and 100# lighter. You guys fit in a lot more stuff than us fatasses do!

Well if everyone wants to meet at my shop, hang out for awhile, then cruise out to the show in HB, I'm cool with whatever time.

My shop's address is:
6881 Stanton Avenue
Buena Park, CA 90621

My shop faces the street, and is the first unit in a row of industrial buildings. Most of the units facing the street are empty, so we can take up the parking spots in front facing Stanton Avenue.

Let me know if you guys have any questions, or need any additional info.

My cell number is: (714) 585-9109

I'd like to start a list of everyone who's coming so I can have a rough idea of how many people to expect.

Re: SoCal checkin' in

The awards ceremony for the car show is at 2:30 pm. So I'm thinking it might be better to meet at around 10 am, and cruise out to Huntington Beach around 10:30 - 11:00 putting us at the show about 30 mins. later.

Let me know what you all think.

I have a few friends with classic cars tagging along as well, so feel free to bring whoever along regardless of what they drive. Unless someone else has an issue with that?
